Anna's First Cookie

A special cookie arrived today for Anna. Aunt Jen and Uncle Bryan had a very important question to ask one of their two favorite nieces and they used one of Grammy's yummy frosted cookies. Anna really enjoyed her first taste of frosting!!

Happy Easter!

We are enjoying a nice relaxing Easter home in Maine. With Marty leaving for Hawaii this week we decided to spend Anna's first Easter just the three of us. The Easter Bunny visited and Anna really enjoyed eating the box of her new sprinkler. Anna's pretty dress only last a couple of hours since she was getting frustrated when trying to crawl. We hope all our family and friends had a wonderful day!

The Zoo

Our Sunday outing was to the world famous San Diego Zoo. We spent hours walking around the rolling hills looking at the animals. Anna spent most of her time in the stroller since she was very tired and honestly more interested in watching the other kids. Marty and I enjoyed seeing the pandas and the polar bear plunge. On Saturday we headed north to the San Diego Zoo Wild Animal Park. We took plenty of photos with our other camera but forgot the cord to download them.

After naptime on Sunday Anna went for her first swim in a pool! She loved every minute of it and would have stayed in but got cold since it was only in the sixties!

San Diego I

Anna and I are really enjoying our time in San Diego. Marty took the first afternoon off so we could explore our surroundings. He took us to Point Loma where we visited the Cabrillo National Monument, the Sub Base and Sunset Cliffs. There were beautiful views at all three places. We also took advantage of many wonderful restaurants. We visited Old Town and the historic Gaslamp District. Today is the warmest day so far and Anna and I headed to the Seaport Village. Anna loved her first Carousel ride! We also got to see a aircraft carrier in the San Diego harbor.

Nine Months

Time is flying by and Anna turned nine months old on Tuesday. She loves to eat Cheerios, french fries and just about anything we give her but peas. She has learned to crawl but only goes backwards. We are working on that. Marty left for a month in San Diego this week. Anna and I are flying out for a visit on Tuesday. We will enjoy the warmth and look forward to seeing Marty.

Children's Museum

On school break Laura and I braved the Portsmouth Children's Museum with the kids. I thought Anna might be too young but she had a blast. She pressed buttons and enjoyed watching Jack and Luke play. Upstairs Anna got to roll around the Butterfly Room while the boys played trains.

Lets Go Celtics!

Anna, Marty and I went to today's Celtics game at the Garden. We gave Marty tickets for his birthday since he really wanted to take Anna to see the 2008 Champions. Born during the NBA Finals, Marty teased me that if Anna was born a boy we would have named her Rajon after point guard Rajon Rondo. We stayed through the third quarter and Boston went on to beat Minnesota 109-101. Following the game we met up with Marty's cousin Nancy and her boyfriend Chris. Anna was great and we had a lot of fun!
