Field Trip
Anna has loved her first few weeks of preschool. Marty and I are also happy with our choice to send her to Berwick Village. Everyday she is proud to show us what she made and tell us about her day. Today we had our first field trip to McDougal Farm. Anna was so excited because Miss Donna and our neighbor Sammi came in our car. After feeding the animals we even got to make our own fairy houses. The most interesting thing we learned was there are no ripe green apples. The granny smith's we see at the store are picked before they are ripe!

Rochester Fair 2011
Its fall so we took our annual trip to the Rochester Fair. We saw the animals before heading to the rides. Once again the carousel was Anna's favorite ride. After enjoying some ice cream Anna discovered the games. We are how owners of a four feet tall blow-up microphone which Anna loves to sing into.

First Day of School
Anna started preschool today. She was very excited to wear her backpack and bring her bear to show her friends. Anna didn't mind me leaving only making me more sad that she is growing up so fast. She will be attending Berwick Village Preschool two days a week for three hours. I'm sure I will get use to the new schedule very quickly. I already enjoyed my solo trip to the grocery store.

Storyland
Marty took and extra long weekend for Labor Day. Friday the weather was perfect for a trip to the White Mountains and Storyland. Marty and I talked about going to the amusement park early in the week and on Wednesday Anna found a photo of us on the log flume and started telling us how fun it was. That made up our minds. We had so much fun we bought season passes for 2012!

Hurricane Irene
Irene may have only been a tropical storm when it hit Maine but it was still rainy and windy. Our power started to flicker even before Stratford was out. We lost power just after noon on Sunday but the worst of the storm didn't hit until midnight. We took advantage of a relaxing day and put together Anna's big girl bed. She was so excited she went in for her nap early. By bedtime she was asking for her brown crib back. We were lucky it only took two nights for her to love her new bed. The power returned late Monday morning just after Anna and I got home from buying ice to keep the food cool. We were fortunate since friends across town didn't see power returned until Friday afternoon.
