York's Wild Kingdom

Today we celebrated Luke's fourth birthday at York's Wild Kingdom. I decided it would be easier to let Anna walk with her friends than make her sit in a stroller. She ran through the zoo looking over her shoulder at the animals as she passed. Anna did stop to feed the ducks, goats and deer. The deer will even cross the fence and follow you which is weird to me. After lunch we rode a few rides at the amusement park. Like Storyland Anna loved the roller coaster. We hope Luke enjoyed his birthday treat as much as we did!

A Happy 6th Anniversary

Marty and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary yesterday. We also had the pleasure of attending Marty's Uncle Charles' surprise birthday party down on the Cape. We are so happy to report that Anna loved the Cape just as much as we do. She had a blast playing with Auntie Nancy and Auntie Karen and swimming at the beach. She even came face-to-face with her first hermit crab. Since Brewster is on the bay side Anna went into the water up to her shoulders, something she hasn't down in the ocean here in Maine or New Hampshire.

USA, USA

Not a bad day for little Anna banana. A Women's World Cup Final game after a morning at the beach. The day started searching for her soccer uniform just to find it between the headboard of our bed and the mattress. On Wednesday before her nap Anna put it away for safe keeping.

Princess Anna

Anna really enjoys her Princess pjs. This afternoon I found her changing into her night gown for her nap. If she wasn't so tired from gymnastics and the pool I may have fought her to stay in her clothes. Some battles are not worth it especially when she looks so cute!

Two-for-Two

So when wearing her USA Women's World Cup Soccer uniform the team is wins!

USA

Aunt Jen and Uncle Bryan sent Anna an USA Women's World Cup Uniform for her birthday. She wore it for the first time Sunday bringing good luck to the team! She missed the end of great match but was excited for the Nike swosh and talked about it for days.

Summer Fun

We took a last minute trip to York's Short Sands late Saturday afternoon. Anna loves the playground and is getting very daring. We thought the beach would be too crowded but Anna wanted to go down to the water anyways. Next time I will pack her bathing suit so she can go swimming. For the first time she noticed York's Wild Kingdom's rides while walking around town. She was so excited she wouldn't eat her ice cream. I think from now on a merry-go-round ride will be part of our trips to the beach!

Little Red Wagon

On a hot and humid July day I took Anna to see her first play. She sat for a large portion only moving to the shade. Every Tuesday the Cochecho Arts Festival offers a free play or concert for kids in Dover. In the first two weeks just happened to be the hottest two days of the summer.

4th of July

Ed and Nancy spent Fourth of July weekend with us. On Sunday the weather was cool and cloudy so we headed to the indoor pools so they could see Anna swim. The fourth was a much better day so we hit the beach for a couple of hours.
