Long Sands Beach

Today we headed to Long Sands Beach with Laura and the boys. Anna was much more adventurous. She started off running from the waves but ended the morning pouring buckets of freezing cold water over her head.

Take Four

While in Connecticut for the weekend we celebrated Anna's birthday with Grammy and Grampy. Again Anna didn't want to open her presents but she did enjoy many of her special cupcakes.

Sydney Graduates!

On June 23 (after a rain delay and a move indoors) we celebrated Sydney's Graduation from Bunnell. It seemed weird to be back in the high school gym. We were all proud to see Syd graduate 13th in her class with high honors. Now it is on to Fairfield University. I would be lying if I didn't say I wasn't disappointed she did follow me to Storrs. But Anna is ready with her new Stag sweatshirt to cheer on Auntie!

First Beach Trip

Back on June 20 Anna and took our first beach trip of the season. We took advantage of easy parking at Short Sands in York and lots of beach space before school ended. Anna said the water was too cold but had lots of fun at the park.

Gym Show

Anna had her first gymnastic show tonight. She was so excited to bring Marty and introduce him to her teacher Miss Mary and her friends. Anna enjoyed watching the older kids warm up and perform. As we waited for the Twinkling Stars to be announced, Anna couldn't contain herself and repeatedly started the routine. During class the moms help their kids but tonight the senior team members guided them through the stations. Anna left me in the dust just watching her have fun. Following the show we treated our gymnast to some ice cream at Friendly's.

Storyland

Anna is 3!! To celebrate we headed north to Storyland. We got very lucky the park was slow on Friday afternoon and we didn't have to wait for any of the rides. I think Anna loved the Polar Coaster the best. We took her to meet Cinderella but she got scared and decided to blow kisses from a safe distance. We spent a few more hours at the park Saturday. It was a little warmer and the log flume was a big hit. At three Anna has little to no fear of rides!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day Weekend we celebrate Anna' birthday with a small picnic. It was a hot summer like afternoon and Anna had lots of fun playing with her friends. I can't believe Anna is three already. Time flies when you are having fun! Currently Anna still really likes Curious George but everything Disney is high on her list, especially princesses and Tinkerbell.

Visitors

My Mom, Rowdy, the kids, Joey and Anna visited a couple of weeks ago. We celebrated Anna's birthday early with cupcakes. We enjoyed our first nice day in what seemed like forever!
