Christmas in July

It's July but we spent the day (our annivesary) listening to Christmas music as we visited Santa's summer home in New Hampshire. A highlight of the day was finding all 26 elves (one for each letter of the alphabet) as we walked the park. By far Anna's favorite part of the day was visiting the Ho Ho H2o water park. We also got to meet and feed Santa's reindeer but missed meeting the big guy since he was on his lunch break. To be honest we didn't go back to meet Santa since Anna was tired and cried at just the thought of seeing him.

Storyland Part 3

Marty is on leave this weekend so we headed to North Conway for a few days. A trip north would not be complete without stoppping at Storyland. It was a hot Sunday so Anna wore her bathing suit and enjoyed the water rides. Marty and I just got soaked. Anna's favorite part of the day was join the Story-Bops on Stage. She got to play a guitar in their band.

The Works

We spend most days at the pool. Anna has become a little fish but if you say this to her she says "I'm a mermaid."

Meeting Cinderella

Anna loves Storyland so much we have season passes. Marty took leave over the Fourth of July holiday so we headed north for the day. Finally Anna met Cinderella! Every place we have gone with characters dressed up she ran the opposite direction. Although Anna enjoys the rides her favorite part of the park is getting her face painted.

4th of July

The Fourth of July started off looking like rain and calling for thunderstorms. Thanks to Laura's encouragement we decided to give the beach a try. Fort Foster was lots of fun with lots for the kids to do and wasn't busy like any of the local beaches.
Driving the boat on the playground.
Exploring on of the old Coast Guard forts.
The view from the fort was beautiful. The water was very clear.
The kids spent hours having races in and out of the water.
All tired out.

Long Sands

We enjoyed our first trip to Long Sands in York Beach when my Mom and Sydney visited. Jack, Luke and Ben also joined us. The kids had lots of fun running in the waves. If you ask Anna what they did she replies "saved the seaweed" that washed up on the beach.

Crane's Beach

Way back on the last weekend of June we met the Gomez family at Crane's Beach for the day. Anna had lots of fun playing in the tidepools with Max and Elliot. It was even nicer for the parents who sat back and watched!
